The club held a marathon charity event in aid of MENCAP
over the weekend of June 18th and 19th.
The actual total amount raised is still unknown as
we are waiting for all the sponsor money to come in
(Current total is I believe in excess of £1700).
The try dives, photos and collection boxes raised just
over £300.
We had a team of people from the club performing the
following functions:
" Front desk reception and booking in of try divers
and underwater photos.
" Poolside co-ordinator responsible for ensuring try
divers kit was organised, cylinder management and generally
keeping things moving.
" Pool divers on rotation to ensure we always had at
least one diver in the pool over 24 hours.
" Try dive instructors to actually take in the try
divers as they arrived.
This was a huge team effort by everyone that took part,
and I would like to thank everyone who was there.
